The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya was showered with garlands, respect and gratitude by the people of his hometown, Ramnagar, Venaras on his departure back to Sikkim, on thanking the people of his hometown for their utmost gratitude he said, the affinity of the residents of Ramnagar and Venaras is his energy, strength and courage which inspires him to work for the betterment of society and the nation.
Further, The Hon’ble Governor paid homage to the statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya as a mark of respect and reverence towards Panditji. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was an Indian politician, philosopher, and economist. He was a proponent of integral humanism, which emphasizes the holistic development of individuals and society.
