Gyalshing, 21st November: The first meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate Smt. YD Yongda was held today in the office of District Magistrate, Rabdentse.
The meeting agenda was to discuss various issues with regard to the implementation of Aadhaar programme under Gyalshing District.
The DLAMC has been formed by the government in order to assist the State UID Nodal Department in the implementation of the UID program and the following were the main agenda of the DLAMC meeting,
1. Status and progress of the Aadhaar enrollment in Gyalshing District.
2. Directives issued by the government with regard to the usage of Aadhaar.
3. Coordination and support for achieving Aadhaar saturation, especially in the age group of 0-5. State-wide child (0-5 years) enrollment campaign launched by the HCM in Gangtok on 14th November 2022.
5. Establishment of child Aadhaar enrollment centers in selected health institutions in collaboration with H&FW department for enrollment of children in the age group 0-5 years.
6. Establishment of PECs.
7. Document update of those residents who were enrolled ten years back.
The meeting also saw the presence of members of the Committee, Additional SP, Mr. Passang T. Lepcha, DMS Gyalshing, Dr. Namgay Bhutia, DCSO Gyalshing, Mr. Arjun Rai, PM/UIM Programmer, Mr. Thupten Geleg, Social Welfare Officer, Mr. Bhushan Subba, Assistant Director (DESM&E) Gyalshing, Mr. B. B. Subba, Assistant Manager (UIDAI), Mr. Nayan Mani Das, Branch Manager (UBI Gyalshing), Mr. Krishna Prasad Sharma PS (UIDAI), Mr. Raju Sharma.
