Gyalshing,19 September IPR.A day-long visit cum inspection was held at Melli Aching GPU under Gyalshing district today led by Hon’ble Area MLA Yuksam Tashiding Constituency cum Dy. Speaker Sikkim Legislative Assembly Shri Sangay Lepcha, accompanied by Chairman Transport department Shri Basant Tamang along with District Collector cum District Magistrate Smt. Yishey D. Yongda, ADC Dev, CMO Gyalshing, CEO Education, SDM Yuksam, JD Education, DE & AE Roads deptt. , AE Irrigation, DPO, RO AD. Others present were Panchayat members from the GPU, field functionaries and the general public.
The first stoppage and interaction was at Melli Monastery where the committee members along with Panchayats placed their grievances pertaining to poor road condition, shortage of nursing staff at PHSC, non-payment of land compensation, requirement of power cabling in one habitation, condition of ICDS, MDM scheme and need of additional teacher at the monastic school.
In his address, Hon’ble Area MLA Shri Sangay Lepcha assured the gathering that all demands would be looked into and appealed to all line deptts to attend to them on priority. He further thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri P.S.Tamang for the schemes initiated which could uplift the deprived mothers throughout the state. He also appealed to each and everyone working at the ground level not to be biased and discriminate any person eligible for the scheme irrespective of any political background.
D.C responded to each grievance one by one and involved the line deptt officers for addressing them. She informed the gathering that most of the issues under discussion could be fulfilled soon, however the GPU members are requested to show patience for the few demands that might require a longer time to come to fruition.

Melli Aching Secondary School,PHSC and finally the Bhasipala landslide spot below Baisipapa road.
