The 76th Independence Day was celebrated

Namchi 15th August (IPR): The 76th Independence Day was celebrated with joy and patriotic fervour across Sikkim today.
Neh Broom, Secondary, School under Yangang subdivision also celebrated the 76th Independence Day with great zeal and patriotism.
The programme was graced by Press Secretary to HCM, Shri Bikash Basnet as the Chief Guest.
Shri Bikash Basnet while addressing the gathering talked about the importance of Independence Day for Indians.
He briefed about Chief Ministers initiations of promoting patriotism amongst our citizens.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga visionized by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been widely promoted by Chief Minister Shri PS Tamang throughout the state which has been highly appreciated by leaders at national level.
He also summarised various achievements of the government in the various sectors including health , education, social and infrastructure development.
Earlier, the event started with hoisting of National Flag “Tiranga” at school premises followed by the parade by students and colourful patriotic/traditional dances along with rural sports like tug of war and other games.
The event also held a marathon competition to promote the Agniveer scheme amongst youths.
During the program IDCC also felicitated covid warriors , social contributors and meritorious students.
Later, the day concluded with football finals between Upper Yangang V/s Yellow House FC Neya where Yangang FC won the tournament.
The programme was organised by IDCC Neh-Broom held at Neh Broom, Secondary, School under Yangang subdivision. Chief Guest was accompanied by CLC Nari Convenor Smt. Denkila Bhutia , Zilla Panchayat Shri KD Kafle , Former Advisor Smt. Kumari Manger, SMC Chairman Shri Pradeep Bhandari , CLC General Secretary Shri Gopal Timsina , CLC VP Shri Manoj Khanal , Vive President of Prannami Dharma Sabha Shri Basant Bhandari , ASI (Excise Department) Shri TB Bhandari , IDCC VP Shri RS Bhandari , School HM Shri Yogesh Chettri , Staffs, Panchayats, students and local public.
