HCM graced the ‘Thanks Giving Ceremony’ organized by 1992 batch ASIs of Sikkim Police

Gangtok, June 27 (IPR): Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang graced the ‘Thanks Giving Ceremony’ organized by 1992 batch ASIs of Sikkim Police, SAP, and IRBn at SAP Camp, Pangthang.
The Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome with the ‘ Guard of Honor’.
The Chief Minister in his speech expressed his gratitude and congratulated the 167 police personnel who were recently promoted. He also praised the entire police department for their work accomplishments. He directed the entire department to work with full dedication and proficiency. The Chief Minister in his address has assured to provide all possible support to the department for their upliftment.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the State Government has allocated funds for Special Investigation and Traffic Management to support the officers during their official tours to other States for Investigation and inquiry. He also reiterated that impartial and timely promotion is being given to the officers and employees of the Police Department including other departments, which will always be maintained by the government with consistency.
The CM also announced to establish ‘Police Memorial’ to acknowledge the remarkable work done by the Police Department. Besides, the Chief Minister also assured to fulfill the demands of road connectivity including other developmental works placed by the Minister cum area MLA Shri K. L. Bhutia.
The Minister, Shri Karma Loday Bhutia in his speech congratulated the promoted officers and expressed his gratitude to the entire Police fraternity for their dedication during the crisis of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Minister also placed the public demand for developmental activities in his constituency during his speech. On the same note, he also apprised about the different developmental activities done in his area for the upliftment of society and the people.
The Minister, Shri Lok Nath Sharma, congratulated the newly promoted ASI’s of the 1992 batch and expressed heartiest gratitude to the Chief Minister for considering it to be a historical promotion after prolonged abeyance.
Minister Sharma recalled his experiences of working in SAP from the 1992 batch for more than two decades before joining politics and applauded the campus for educating him with invaluable wisdom in his life.
He also acknowledged SAP’s contributions to the state and also drew light on the challenges and hardship that police personnel has to come across during their duty period.
Shri Sharma stated that the gracious presence of the Chief Minister in a brief celebration of the promotion of ASIs, itself reflects the utmost importance given by the state government. He also touched upon the unique identity secured by SAP and advised for more endurance and uninterrupted efforts.
Earlier the Chief Minister also inaugurated the New Advanced Gym which has a good collection of different types of equipment for workouts and exercise.
The programme also had the presence of Speaker SLA, Shri LB Das, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Political Secretary to CM, Press Advisor to CM, Press Secretary to CM, Advisors, Chairpersons, Zilla Panchayat and Gram Panchayat, Kabi-Lungchok, DGP, Special DGP, Additional DGP, IGP, DIGP, Superintendents of Police, Sikkim Police, SAP, IRBn, Home Guard, Village Guard, Special Branch, Crime Branch, CID, Traffic, Vigilance, Officers, and employees from Check Post, Students, and local gentry.
