Gyalshing, June 18: ( IPR) A total of twenty beneficiaries of Sikkim Urban Garib Awas Yojana ( SUGAY) received an allotment order in a token distribution programme organised by Gyalshing Nagar Panchayat here at the community hall, this morning.
The Hon’ble Minister- cum- Area MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok constituency Shri Lok Nath Sharma handed over allotment order to the beneficiaries and congratulated for being the beneficiary of first urban housing scheme in the history.
Minister Sharma, in his address, urged all concerned to never compromise on quality works and affirmed to complete the assigned work within stipulated time period.
He also advised beneficiaries of all five wards under GNP to support and co-operate the contractor for better construction work.
He also mentioned that additionally eighty landless families will be awarded housing appartments in near future.
Minister Sharma articulated ongoing developmenal works in GNP and assured to begin execution of decades long pending demand of water supply within a month. The work has been sanctioned by the ruling government, in the recent months.
He also informed that an additional infrastructure of a fifty bedded Critical Care Unit will be established at Gyalshing District Hospital. Besides, developmental works like establishment of shopping mall, installation of sewer system, maintenance of drainage within GNP are in pipeline, he added.
