Two days long Career Boot Camp of Medhavi Skills University (MSU)

Bermiok, June 18: (IPR) Two days long Career Boot Camp of Medhavi Skills University (MSU) commenced at the community hall, Bermiok under Gyalshing Bermiok constituency, today.
The Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA Shri Lok Nath Sharma graced the inaugural day as the chief guest in the special presence of Pro Vice-Chancellor MSU Dr Amiya Singh, BDO Hee-Martam Shri Kailash Gurung, principals, teachers and participating students from the peripheral schools.
Addressing the students, Minister Sharma highlighted special features of MSU and the advantages of producing a skilled workforce. Shri Sharma marked the establishment of MSU as one of the historic and visionary achievements for the long-term sustainable benefits of generations ahead.
Minister Sharma announced that the Medhavi Skill University will give 50% scholarship for the students and the remaining 50% fees will be reimbursed by the University under a provision of special scholarship given to the Northeastern states by the Government of India.
He informed that the foundation stone laying ceremony of MSU and inauguration of its newly established office will be held in the month of August 2022.
He stressed upon the increasing demand of job-oriented courses in today’s world and the MSU will offer almost all the job oriented practical courses and provides placements too.
Minister Sharma expressed the heartiest gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang for making it possible to establish MSU at Bermiok under Gyalshing Bermiok constituency by passing MSU Sikkim Act 2021 in Sikkim Legislative Assembly.
The programme was also addressed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Amiya Singh and assured to focus on producing employable manpower. He also emphasized on detailed features of the University.
