Gangtok, Oct 26: The Director-General of the National Council of Science Museum, Shri A.D Chaudhary and the Director Shri S Kumar called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang in his official residence at Mintokgang.
During the call on, they discussed establishing a category-2 Science Centre & Digital Planetarium in Sikkim. The Hon’ble Chief Minister welcomed the proposal and emphasized on setting it up at Nandugaon, South Sikkim and stated that this particular project and the Herbal Medical and Spiritual Healing Complex will boost the tourism sector in the area. The aforementioned project will be supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Secretary and other senior officials from the Science and Technology Department, Government of Sikkim were also present during the call on.
