Namchi, 9th October: Minister Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS) Mr. L. N. Sharma in presence of Chairman Farmers Welfare Mr. Phurden Lepcha, Advisor Land Use and Environment Mr. Bhagirath Rai, Chairman Roads and Bridges Mr. Sukraj Rai, Chairman Urban Develpoment Department Mr. K.B. Rai, Zilla Adhyakshya (South) Ms. Tshering Dem Bhutia, ADC(Dev, Namchi) Dr. C.P. Rai, B.D.O (Nandugaon) Mr. Tenzing Bhutia, A.P.O Nandugaon Mrs Sangita Sharma, Panchayats of three GPK’s and concerned staffs.
The Minister officially inaugurated ‘Mini Haat’ shed and ‘Community Sanitary Complex’ having ‘Twin Pit’ situated at Upper Dorop under Salghari G.P.U. It maybe mentioned that these facilities were already completed in the year 2019 but couldn’t be inaugurated due to COVID-19 Pandemic. It is reiterated that both the facilities were funded by Rural Development Department under MGNREGA in convergence with 14 FC to the tune of ( MGNREGA Rs. 3,21,000/- ,14 FC Rs. 2,00000/-) and Community Sanitary Complex (CSC) having Twin Pit which was funded by SBM to the tune of Rs. 1,80,000/- . This CSC is constructed in view of heavy tourist visit owing to tourist spots in and around. The operation and maintenance is being looked after by the Mini Haat Shed Stakeholders. Both the assets are fully functional from today itself.
