HCM Shri. P.S Tamang called on the HPM Shri. Narendra Modi

New Delhi, August 12: The Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang called on the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi, today.
He thanked the PM for his valuable time and placed the demands for the tribal status for 12 left out communities, Limboo-Tamang seat reservation in the Sikkim Legislative Assembly and the visit of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje to Sikkim.
He briefed the PM about the historical significance of these demands and requested his intervention. Similarly, he stated that health and education are the priority sector of the state government and in this regard, he updated the PM about several projects which are in the pipeline including, 300 bedded hospitals at Namchi and the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose University of Excellence to name a few.
He apprised the PM about the road network in the state and added that Sikkim being a mountainous region requires good road connectivity to develop the far-flung areas, which will also be beneficial in terms of National security and informed about the damages to the roads throughout Sikkim due to the monsoon and. He presented a detailed memorandum regarding all the concerns to the PM.
