CRH Manipal begins off-site Covid vaccination drive

GANGTOK, 15 June 2021: The off-site COVID-19 Vaccination by Central Referral Hospital (CRH) Manipal began from today and a total of 1200 first dose vaccinations (for 18-44 year olds) were carried out on the first day itself. The three sites at pharmaceutical companies for the first batch of off-site vaccinations are Alkem, Samardung (South Sikkim) and Cipla & Zuventus at Kumrek (East Sikkim) for its employees and their families.

The total number of vaccinations that will be carried out in the coming days are 3000, 2200, 400 at Alkem, Cipla and Zuventus respectively. This will estimated to be complete by 19 June 2021.

Thereafter other private companies, viz. Lupin, Intas, Torrent etc. are lined up for the jabs. CRH endeavours to provide vaccinations for all and in order to aid this, a new COVID Vaccine Session Site will also be set up at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Majhitar, East Sikkim. The processes have already begun and we expect it to be operational by the end of this month.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Session Site at CRH, 5th Mile Tadong, East Sikkim commenced from Monday, 14 June 2021 for Indian citizens of 18-44 years.
