GANGTOK, 12 June 2021: The COVID-19 Vaccine Session Site at Central Referral Hospital (CRH) Manipal at 5th Mile Tadong, East Sikkim will be operational from Monday, 14 June, 2021 and is ready to immunize Indian citizens of 18-45 years.
The facility will be available from Monday to Saturday (except designated holidays), 9.30 am to 4 pm. The vaccine (COVISHIELD) is priced at Rs. 780/- per dose at COVID vaccination centres (as per the guidelines of the National COVID Vaccination program).
In order to avail vaccination, citizens will have to use the CoWIN (https://cowin.gov.in) platform for pre-booking vaccination appointments. The online registrations are open from 8 am, Sunday, 13 June, 2021.
In addition to vaccination of individuals, Central Referral Hospital will also begin off-site work place COVID vaccination drive at private companies of Sikkim for employees and their families. In the first phase, the off-site vaccination drive will cover three major pharmaceutical companies namely Alkem, Cipla and Zuventus and thereafter other private companies’ viz. Lupin, Intas, Torrent etc. are lined up.
CRH endeavours to provide vaccinations for all and in order to aid this, a new COVID Vaccine Session Site will also be set up at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Majhitar. The processes have already begun and it is expected it to be operational by the end of this month.
