Namchi, 16th March (IPR): A meeting on District Task Force was held at DAC, today.
The meeting was chaired by DC (South) Shri. M. Bharani Kumar also presents amongst others were CMO (South) Dr. D.C. Sharma, DSO (South) Dr. Urgen Sherpa, DRCHO (South) Dr. Junita Yonzon along with police personnel and other officials.
DC (South) Shri. M. Bharani Kumar was updated about the status of the COVID-19 vaccine in the district. He further emphasized the health department to insure full vaccine coverage for polling personnel. He also underscored the need to receive the complete schedule of the vaccine for protecting oneself against this disease.
DRCHO (South) Dr. Junita Yonzon briefed the meeting regarding the COVID-19 vaccination process which is being undertaken at the district. She underlined the total number of vaccines available at the District Hospital and about other pertinent issues. She added that the beneficiaries of the vaccine can get their second dose between 28 to 42 days.
It was informed that in the category of 60 years and above a total of 8988 beneficiaries has been covered to date in the district. Similarly, so far 14578 beneficiaries have received COVID-19 vaccination in the South District. It may be mentioned that the second COVID-19 vaccine dosage for frontline workers will commence from 17th March onwards.
