Gyalshing, 4th March (IPR): A meeting regarding the Nasha Mukth Bharat Campaign was held at the office of the District Collector West, Gyalshing, today.
The meeting was chaired by the Additional District Collector/West, Shri Agawane Rohan Ramesh (IAS), SDM(HQ)/West, Shri Anant Jain, Deputy Superintendent of Police/West, Shri Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, Deputy Director/Education, Shri Jiwan Prakash Chhetri, Panel Advocate, Shri Pujan Kharka, representatives of concerned departments and NGOs.
ADC West briefed about the Nasha Mukth Bharat Campaign and its objective. He informed that the motive of the meeting is to discuss the management process of mass campaigning on Nasha Mukth Bharat. He suggested conducting sub-divisional level competition where generations of awareness should take place. He reiterated to focus on educational institutions and recommended organizing music, street play and dance on the theme Nasha Mukth Bharat at the Secondary, Senior Secondary and Colleges level. He also suggested designating one nodal officer in each sub-division who can perform actions and further suggested involving those people who could play a vital role in awareness generation programmes.
During the course of the meeting, an interactive session with the officials was also conducted wherein feedback and requirement were discussed in detail.
