Last Batch of KMY Yatris from Nathula 2018 Complete their Pilgrimage

Gangtok, 24 Aug (IPR): The last batch of Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY) pilgrims returned to Gangtok last night after the completion of their pilgrimage of Mount Kailash. This was the tenth and the final batch for the year 2018. The number of pilgrims in this batch was 46 and all successfully completed the Yatra.

Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) and the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim organized a felicitation programme for the pilgrims at Hotel Mount Sinolchu. Hon’ble Chairman, STDC, Shri R.N. Chamling, gave away mementos and certificates to the pilgrims.

There were a total of 10 batches from Nathula this year and a total number of 413 yatris. Out of the total, 408 Yatris completed the pilgrimage. Five pilgrims were not able to complete their journey because of either personal or medical conditions.
