Gangtok, January 6 (IPR): Chief Secretary Shri S.C. Gupta chaired a meeting at Tashiling Secretariat today to discuss the preparation for the celebration of Republic Day 2021. The meeting was attended by heads of departments, senior officers of the Army, BRO, and officers of line departments.
The Chief Secretary informed that the function will be held at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, duly maintaining the spirit and form, yet taking adequate safety precautions. It was informed that a similar protocol would be followed in the district-level functions. It was decided that the duration and number of invitees would be curtailed keeping the Covid-19 norms into consideration.
Principal Secretary, Home Department, Shri R. Telang laid down the role of each department to ensure proper coordination and success of the program.
The officers present in the meeting also put forth their suggestions.
