Gyalshing, November 6: With a view to promoting Trout farming under fisheries as a viable business opportunity in the farm sector, SISCO Bank has initiated issuing Kisan Credit Cards for Trout farming. A total of twenty-four farmers of Samdong Sribadam and Singling GPUs of West District were handed over KCC cards by the Managing Director of the Bank during a financial literacy program at Sribadam, West Sikkim on 5th November.
The program was attended by the Deputy Director of Fisheries Directorate, Deputy Registrar of Co-operation Department along with Vice Chairman and officials of SISCO Bank.
The cards have been issued under an on-lending arrangement with the respective Multi-Purpose Co-operative Societies.
