Gyalshing, 5th November 2020(IPR): Additional District Collector, West, Mr. Tushar G. Nikhare had a co-ordination meeting with Heads of Departments of the District regarding rejuvenating and protecting of water bodies, solid and biowaste management at the conference hall of Zilla Bhawan, Kyongsha.
Present amongst others were Mr. Surat Gurung, ADC(Dev/Gyalshing), Mr. Gayas Pega, ADC(Dev/Soreng), BDOs, Mrs. Bhumika Pradhan(MEO, GMC) and Mrs. Sabitri Gurung(Deputy Director, Sanitation).
ADC, Mr. Nikhare gave a patience hearing and advised the officers to keep proper records and work with full enthuses. He urged the officers present to understand the gravity of the situation and work for hand in hand with each other for making the assignment successful. He stated that the officers have an opportunity to work for the future of the District and to showcase their talents and efficiency.
In the midst of the meeting, both the ADC(Dev) submitted the list of water bodies to be recharged or rejuvenated and an action plan to review the same. They also presented the status of solid and liquid waste management plans under their jurisdiction.
Deputy Director, Sanitation also presented the status of an incinerator in District Hospital Gyalshing, mode of disposal of solid and liquid waste management at District Hospital, AYUSH Hospital and various PHCs in West District.
During the course of the meeting an interactive session with the officials has also conducted wherein grievances, feedback and requirements were discussed in detail.
