Gangtok, 25th October, 2020 (IPR): The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri. Ganga Prasad and Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Prem Singh Tamang inaugurated the Thakur Bari Mandir at Gangtok today.
Present at the inauguration were Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers; Political Secrerary to HCM; Advisors; Chief Secretary; Principal Secretary; DGP; ADGP; DC; SP; HoDs; Officials and Dignitaries.
During the inauguration program the Hon’ble Governor congratulated the State of Sikkim for this achievement. He also mentioned that the temple is dedicated to the people of Sikkim and is open for all. He also wished the state to be prosperous and have the communal and religious harmony which the state practices. He also urged the public to be careful during the COVID19 pandemic and practice social distancing and wear masks all the time.
HCM in his brief interactions with the media expressed his joy towards the opening of the Thakur Bari Mandir for the public. He informed that the Mandir is dedicated to all the public. He also wished all an auspicious Bijaya Dashami and wished all public to remain safe and follow the COVID19 safety protocols during the festival times.
The inauguration program commenced with the inauguration puja done by the religious heads of the Mandir in the presence of Hon’ble Governor and HCM of Sikkim.
