Namchi, 12th August (IPR): As a part of Gandagi Mukt Bharat a plantation drive was carried out by three GPUs namely Poklok-Denchung, Tinik Chisopani and Salghari respectively. Saplings were provided by ACF BAC at all designated places. Plantation programme was initiated by Panchayat Presidents of three GPUs in the presence of BDO, local gentry, Nari Shakti and local elders. Among the saplings planted were avocado, cherry and other flowering plants which were planted alongside the roads.
