Gangtok, August 7: The NSS Cell of Sports and Youth Affairs Department is organising a singing competition for the NSS volunteers this month in order to break down the monotony and spread positivity among them and to motivate and encourage them to showcase their talents even though they are occupied with various activities such as creating various awareness and sensitisation programmes while staying at home.

Altogether, 71 volunteers have sent their videos to participate in the competition through their respective Programme Coordinators and Programme Officers to NSS Cell as on 6th August 2020.

During the 1st round, 40 participants (20 boys and 20 girls) will be shortlisted by judges to move on to the second round. The list will be declared on 8th August 2020 by 8 am.

The participants will then have to send their videos for the 2nd round by 4:00 pm on 9th August 2020 and five videos on a daily basis will be uploaded in NSS, Sports and Youth Affairs Department Facebook page from 9th August 2020.

The same can be shared by volunteers and the public for maximum likes & views. The result will be based on 75% Facebook likes & views and 25% judge’s views. Altogether 20 participants (10 boys and 10 girls) will be shortlisted for the third and the final round. The selection process will remain the same.
