Gyalshing, 24th July 2020 (IPR): As per the information received from SDM Soreng, since 19.7.2020, 39 Rapid Antigen Test for primary and secondary have been done and all have tested negative. Further, the counselling of the primary and secondary was conducted by Soreng CHC which was attended by CMO West, Timburbong Panchayat President and other Officials.
There will be an Antigen Test of more than 150 contacts on 24.7.2020 and 25.7.2020 from 10 am at Timburbong Secondary School. It was informed that till now three members of the same family have tested positive and almost all contact tracing has been done.
All the contacts have been advised to stay on strict home isolation until further order irrespective of negative results. The Health Department of West Sikkim has been keeping close contact via telecommunication to ensure proper and timely health status.
The Timburbong GPU, which is a ‘Containment Area’ is under complete lockdown and the necessities of households like LPG, Essential Commodities is being home delivered in case of need. The essential medicines are being home delivered by local pharmacies after the medicines are prescribed through telecommunication by respective doctors.
DM West informed that the situation is under control and normal. However, the general public has been advised to stay home to fully contain the spread of the infection. As of now, the Timburbong GPU has been fully cordoned off by Soreng Police Station.
