Mangan 27 July (IPR): Bhavishya Bharat, a development organization, in collaboration with HANS Foundation conducted a daylong Pediatric health camp at Mangan District Hospital in North Sikkim. Child Specialist from Gangtok, Dr. HK Chettri conducted the camp wherein around 76 children received free consultations and medicines.
It may be informed here, Bhavishya Bharat is a non-profit organization with its headquarters in Hyderabad. The organization has been providing primary health care services, quality education, livelihood, infra works development and social development services in remote locations of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. Its vision is to improve the quality of life of communities through holistic and integrated social development thereby enabling communities to become self-reliant.
The organisation also has a mobile medical unit named ‘Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels’ with screening facilities and provides primary health services on a regular basis to 20 villages in North district and 40 villages in West district of Sikkim. Bhavishya Bharat had also undertaken the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) activities of Teesta Urja Hydel Power Project which is a Government of Sikkim owned enterprise.
