Two COVID-19 patients were discharged from District Hospital Namchi


Namchi, 3rd July: Two fully recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged on 2nd July from Isolation facility located at Samdruptse Car Plaza in the presence of Zilla Adhakshya Ms. Tshering Dem Bhutia, DC (South) Ragul K, CMO (South) Dr D.C. Sharma and other Health officials and staff from District Hospital Namchi.

Out of 9 COVID-19 patients admitted at Samdruptse Isolation facility, 7 patients who had tested repeat positive were referred to an Isolation facility at Socheygang Hospital in Gangtok.

During the course of the discharge, the team of Disaster Management congratulated the discharged patients on their speedy recovery. The discharged persons were dropped home via ambulance. They will be on home isolation and their health status and home quarantine protocol compliance will be followed up by the Village Level Monitoring Team.

It may be mentioned here that the frontline COVID-19 warriors who provided health care services to the admitted patients at Samdruptse Isolation Centre comprised of Medical Officer, Staff Nurse, Ward Attendant and Safai Karamchari have been sent for 14 days quarantine at Hotel Blue Sapphire, Namchi
