12 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in the State

Gangtok, July 02: (IPR) As per the daily Covid-19 Health Bulletin issued by DG cum Secretary Health today, 12 new positive cases have been reported in the State. All the 12 cases are army personnel who were the primary contacts of the 89th patient who was army personnel. He had tested positive for Covid-19 on the night of 30th June.
With the new cases, the total number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State now stands at 101.
It was reported that out of 19 primary contacts of the 89th patient, 12 tested positive. Contact tracing of all secondary contacts is in process.
The DG cum Secretary informed that all the 13 positive persons, along with the remaining 6 primary contacts, have been shifted to the Army Hospital, Bagdogra, which is the dedicated Hospital for Covid-19 for army personnel.
These 13 cases are thus reported as ‘Migrated Out’ in the IDSP report issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim.

Final Summary of Covid-19 cases in Sikkim as on 02.07.2020 is as follows:
Total Cases = 101.
Total Active Cases = 35 (All admitted in Covid-19 Isolation Ward of STNM Hospital).
Total Recovered and Discharged = 53.
Migrated Out = 13.
