Legship, 1st July, 2020 (IPR): The Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok constituency Shri Lok Nath Sharma chaired an interactive session with the people of Legship Bazar at Gautam Dharmashala, Legship, this evening.
During the interactive session, people of the locality placed their grievances and put forth social demands for the overall development of Legship Bazar and its vicinity.
While addressing the gathering, Minister Sharma informed that a proposal for the establishment of rock climbing at Legship ground is under consideration and the long-pending stagnant project of the Guest House is in the verge of completion after the immediate resumption of construction work.
He also assured to establish a branch office of State Bank of Sikkim at Legship in the near future. Further, Minister Sharma assured to address the public demands including up gradation and renovation of Legship Sr Secondary School, widening of Legship Gyalshing Road, construction of Jhora, footpaths and other genuine demands.
Minister also underlined the preventive initiatives taken up by the state government to combat against COVID-19 in the state and advised the gathering to follow the issued guidelines.
Minister Sharma, also informed about the upcoming loan mela scheduled to be held on 22nd July 2020 and further elaborated on the subsidised banking provisions to provide financial support for the farmers.
The State Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister, has allocated amounting to rupees fifty crores to pay the subsidised amount and urged applicants to be determined to adopt livestock farming to earn their livelihood. He also called for unity and communal harmony in the state of oneness and undivided society for the overall development of the locality.
