Gyalshing, 5th June, 2020 (IPR): Environment & Conservation (West Division), Department of Forest & Environment, Government of Sikkim Celebrated World Environment Day with the theme of ” Celebrate Biodiversity” at District Administrative Centre (DAC) premises, this morning.
The Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok constituency Shri Lok Nath Sharma graced the occasion and planted a sapling of Rhododendron species. The District Collector West Shri Karma R Bonpo, Superintendent of Police West Shri Tashi Wangyal along with the officials also planted saplings of Rhododendron at DAC premises.
It may be mentioned here that every individual people are appraised for management and conservation of Environment and Biodiversity during COVID-19 pandemic at their individual capacities in their surrounding areas.
