A total of eight hostels, four for boys and four for girls are being used at this Centre. Around 192 evacuees can be accommodated in these eight hostels making JNV, Ravangla the only establishment which can currently house
the highest number of quarantined people. Each hostel has two floors and in normal times a total of twenty-four people could have been accommodated but keeping in view the social distancing guidelines of COVID-19, twelve beds in each floor are being used. As a part of social responsibility, the principal and staff of JNV also renovated the hostel by painting it and fitting new doors. At present there are 189 inmates out of which 101 are males and 88 females. An ambulance from Ravangla PHC is also attached to the facility.
