Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Message to the Nation
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi in his third address to the Nation concerning COVID-19 has requested the people of India to switch off the lights of their houses at 9 pm on the 5th of April, 2020 ie. Sunday, and step out on the balcony or outside their door with lit candles/torchlight/mobile flashlight or diyas for 9 minutes as a symbolic gesture to reinforce the message that all Indians are collectively fighting COVID-19.
He has however appealed to the people to maintain social distancing and all necessary precautions during the process.
