Guwahati February 26: The Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) met the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs and Sports and Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati this morning.
During the brief meeting the two leaders after exchanging the pleasantries discussed various issues on development of the North-Eastern region.
Shri Rijiju during the meeting also appreciated how Sikkim is making a rapid stride forward under the new Government led by Shri Prem Singh Tamang, especially in the tourism sector.
He also congratulated the Hon’ble Chief Minister for the 3 girls from Sikkim who has been selected in the Indian team for FIFA Under -17 Women’s World cup.
The Hon’ble Chef Minster while expressing his gratitude towards Shri Rijiju also requested the Union Minister to provide the state with funds for the construction of playing fields in Sikkim and also for the up-gradation of Paljor Stadium.
The Union Minister assured all possible help from his end and also informed that he will be visiting Sikkim soon.
