Gyalshing, 15th December, 2019 (IPR): The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) attended the Barahimizong Festival organised by the All Sikkim Manger Association at Magarzong, Mangsari, West Sikkim. HCM in his address extended his warm wishes to the entire Mangar Community of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Barahimizong. He also congratulated the All Sikkim Manger Association for organizing the program and wished them similar success for future endeavors.
HCM stressed on the historical importance of Magarjung, Mangsari and the history of Manger Community. HCM stated that the stagnant project of Magarjung Mangsari will be completed phase wise and will be made into a historical spot for Soreng Chakung Constituency and Sikkim as whole. He also expressed his desire to extend his support the Mangar community.
HCM whilst speaking on the demands placed by the Hon’ble MLA Shri. Aditya Golay and All Sikkim Manger Association stated that the demands will be looked into and fullfilled at the earliest with proper coordination with the cabinet. He also informed that under the ‘Sikkim Garib Awaz Yojana’ a total of 100 beneficiaries per constituency will be given houses each costing an approximate amount of Rs. 16.85 lakhs. He also mentioned that the beneficiaries need to be scrutinized and only genuine and needful of the housing scheme should get the benefit.
HCM further mentioned that in the coming year many such projects and schemes would be provided to uplift the poor. HCM also expressed his grief on the populous of Sikkim and their health conditions in relation to Cancer and other diseases. He urged the populous to take heed in what they consume and be fit in order to avoid such ailments. He also mentioned that the state will provide financial support to medical patients admitted in the hospitals. HCM stressed that medical assistance will be given to the needy. He also mentioned that ambulances fuel budget has been specifically allotted by the state government for the BPL families hence they need not pay for the fuel as asked earlier by the ambulance service providers.
Hon’ble MLA Soreng Chakung addressed the gathering and placed the demands to the HCM on behalf of the public of Soreng Chakung constituency. He also informed that the Annual Winter Tourism Festival will be celebrated in Soreng West Sikkim.
During the program the HCM was felicitated by the All Sikkim Manger Association. Felicitations were also given to Shri. Santosh Allay, President, All Sikkim Manger Association, Shri. Bishnu Rana, Advisor, All Sikkim Manger Association, Shri. B. B. Rana, National General Secretary Mangar Association and Tulasa Thapa. Other guests and dignitaries were also presented with mementos.
