11th November 2019, Gangtok (IPR): Chief Secretary of the State Mr. S.C. Gupta chaired a co-ordination meeting with the HOD’s of the various department today at Tashiling, Secretariat.
The main agenda of the meeting is to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the constitution of India and to pay tribute to the invaluable contribution of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and other founding father of the constitution.
Chief Secretary informed that the State wide campaign would be launch from the 26th November 2019 and culminate in 14th April 2020 which is the Birth Anniversary Of Babasaheb Ambedkar celebrated as “Samrasta Diwas” as per the direction of Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India as the Nodal Ministry.
Chief Secretary directed all the Hod’s of the department to organize activities as a part of awareness campaign on spreading constitutional literacy, Fundamental Duties throughout the State along with the Gram Panchayat and Urban Local bodies.
A five months campaign with a number of activities to spread awareness about Fundamental Duties throughout the country and sensitize the citizens regarding the exalted values and precepts enshrined in the Constitution.
