Mangan, September 19 (IPR): Additional District Collector, Shri Surat Gurung flagged off the bike rally on Poshan Maah (Nutritional Month) from Mangan Bazaar. Celebrating Poshan Maah, the bike rally was organized by the Social Justice and Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim.
Sole aim of organizing said rally was to spread awareness on ‘Five Sutras’ of Poshan Maah viz. First 1000 days of life child, Anaemia Mukt, Health and Sanitation, Paustic Aahaar and Diarrhoea Management. The said rally also witnessed two female riders.
Poshan maah (nutrition month) is a commendable initiative of Government of India to ensure a healthier future for women and children, this holistic nutrition campaign which started on 1st September.
